Vancouver’s Coziest Fall Afternoon Tea

As Vancouver settles into the beauty of autumn, Bacchus welcomes the season with a new Afternoon Tea inspired by the flavours and colours of fall.

Created by Pastry Chef Samson Isza-Fellows, the menu offers a playful and elegant interpretation of familiar fall favourites. Freshly baked Cinnamon Bun Scones and White Cheddar & Pumpkin Seed Scones set the tone, followed by seasonal sweets including Pumpkin Spice Tiramisu, Candied Pecan & Milk Chocolate Profiteroles, Apple Tart and Cardamom & Orange Shortbread. Savoury highlights include Turkey with Thyme, Apple Confiture and Mustard Sage Aïoli, alongside smoked salmon profiteroles, delicate tartlets and a delectable mini quiche.

“Fall is such an inspiring season for pastry,” says Samson. “There is something wonderfully nostalgic about cinnamon, pumpkin, apple and pecan. We wanted to take those familiar flavours and give them a more refined expression while still keeping that sense of comfort.”

The tea selection has been thoughtfully chosen to carry those flavours through the entire experience. Guests can discover our much-awaited seasonal blends such as Pumpkin Spice Black Tea, rich and sweet with the aroma of pumpkin pie, Apple Pie Green Tea with fragrant apple and cinnamon, warming Masala Chai, and bright Ginger Yuzu, alongside a collection of classic black teas, herbal infusions and scented green teas.

The setting is just as much a part of the experience. With its rich interiors, warm lighting and intimate atmosphere, the Bacchus Dining Room is especially cozy as the weather begins to cool. Bespoke seasonal décor will adorn each table, bringing the colours and textures of autumn indoors and creating an inviting setting for an afternoon spent over tea, pastries and conversation.
